SERVICES

We support clients through their journey to healing by providing care based on individual needs. AOH believes in the harm reduction approach. We will support survivors who are in active addiction to keep them as safe as possible.

For those wishing to complete treatment at a residential treatment centre, we offer immediate admission, discharge, and assessment tools (ADAT). Appropriate action will be taken if a Methadone Suboxone doctor is required, especially when a Methadone Maintenance Treatment plan is promptly needed.

AOH offers counselling services related to mental health, addiction and trauma. Along with counselling services, referrals will be made to other supporting agencies.

Survivors and their loved ones will have full access to an AOH counsellor and social worker who can provide guidance, resources and access to educational supports. All clients will be able to participate in support groups and workshops alongside fellow survivors and their support communities.

To best serve survivors and their loved ones, AOH establishes a rapport with clients who utilize our services free of judgement. We strive to provide a safe and secure environment for survivors to share, access counselling services, and begin the journey to healing. We understand and meet the needs of a diverse clientele and actively practice cultural sensitivity while providing bilingual services. At AOH we are empathetic and respectful of every client and maintain strict confidentiality and safety protocols. We operate on a morally and ethically sound foundation and provide clients with the resources they need to meet their goals.

Every AOH client is provided with an individual care plan and encouraged to be paired with a peer support worker. We encourage clients to engage in all workshops, counselling services and exchanges with peers while engaged in our services.
