Empower You! Workshop for Parents and Youth on Human Trafficking and Gender-based Violence
As we respond to the growing problem of domestic Human Trafficking in our community, Angels of Hope Against Human Trafficking (AOH) is currently on a quest to raise awareness and educate parents and youth on human trafficking and gender-based violence.
With funding from the Department of Justice Canada for Victims and Survivors of Crime Week 2023, AOH has created a workshop called EMPOWER YOU: A workshop for parents and youth on human trafficking and gender-based violence.
In this workshop parents and youth will learn how they can take steps to recognize, identify, prevent, and disclose incidents of human trafficking and gender-based violence. Participants will also hear an empowering story from a survivor of sex trafficking.
This workshop will be taking place May 17th, 2023 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Indie Cinema (162 MacKenzie Street, Greater Sudbury) and everyone is welcome to attend. There will be vouchers for free beverages and snacks.
