At Angels Of Hope Against Trafficking, we are focused to educate the general public; to support, advocate and empower those being exploited.
Our unique group, brings various qualifications and experiences such as; Mental health and addictions, suicide intervention and prevention, mental health first aid and so much more. As well as the qualifications, each member has their own unique story and life experience.
Angels of Hope started off as an idea a few months ago when we had the privilege of meeting a young human trafficking survivor named "Sarah”. After listening to her story we quickly realized that there are very few community based supports to help this young victim rebuild her life. After meeting with "Sarah", we knew as a group that something needed to be done.
We began a private chat forum amongst ourselves as a means to talk about our worries, concerns and our fears in regards to our children. Parents began to contact us about their children being involved in or vulnerable to sex trafficking, drugs/alcohol and who have gone missing. Our group began to grow as the community became aware that there was help and people to just listen to their concerns.
We decided as a group, that it was time to turn our hopes and dreams into a reality and to be able to help these victims and their families. There, Angels of Hope got its name. We set up a web page so that we can reach others who are in need of our services, support or to be guided in the right direction to community resources that can be utilized to help out the victims and their loved ones. We want our community and the victims to know that they are not alone and we as a team are here to help.
This is only the beginning to many great visions and goals Angels of Hope has to help our community, families and victims. Please stay tuned for so much more exciting new developments that our team is in the process of working on.
